Diagnostic clues can often come from a patient’s medical history. In my acupuncture practice I take a thorough medical history. In fact, most L.Ac.s and OMDs put aside 90 minutes to 2 hours for a first-time patient in order to have the most complete history possible. But what about lifestyle, exercise, supplements, diet? That is all part of the holistic philosophy behind Oriental Medicine and acupuncture. We treat the whole person, treatment is a partnership between the practitioner and the patient and that means having a very good idea of how our patients are taking care of themselves.
