Recent research shows the reality of acupuncture points on the body using CT scans – a series of X-rays used to create cross-sectional images of acupuncture points. They show up because they “have a higher density of micro-vessels and contain a large amount of involuted microvascular structures” – not seen in non-acupuncture point areas. Another interesting finding, acupuncture points “exhibit special oxygen characteristics.” Many patients, myself included can feel the energy from acupuncture points via palpation and needling. It has always been palpable and real to me, but I’m happy now to read that “Acupuncture points and acupuncture channels are scientifically measurable phenomena in repeated experiments.” – See more at:
