Acupuncture for seasonal allergies – Time.com reports

A recent study hints that acupuncture, when used on a group of allergy sufferers, helped in alleviating typical symptoms of seasonal allergies. Time.com reports that the study group, when acupuncture was used in conjunction with antihistamines, got better relief than those taking antihistamines alone or those getting only “sham” treatment. Sham treatment in acupuncture studies means getting needled on non-meaningful points, or with needles that retract, like a stage dagger and are not retained. Like many such studies, the conclusion is that more high-quality studies are needed … and no mention is made of herbal formulas. Still, acupuncture and herbal formulas have been used for centuries for sneezing, itchy eyes, sniffles, and thousands of other diseases and their symptoms. Give me a call and let’s see if acupuncture can help you find relief!
